The Secret

You have probably heard someone that you know talking about the book or movie called The Secret. If you haven’t and I have got your attention please read on as it has changed a lot of peoples lives. You have nothing to lose and probably a lot to gain. I missed the Oprah show where she had all the people on her site whose lives have changed since they read or saw the Secret. But I do not think I need to know what happened to others, I am convinced that it will make a difference to me. I just think that Rhonda Byrne (the author) is brilliant. What I would have done to be her researcher for the book and meet all those great people and interview them. John Assaraf, use to be a street kid, but now he is known better as an international bestselling author, lecturer, business advisor and more. Then there is Michael Bernard Beckwith who founded the Agape International Spiritual Center who boast of memberships exceeding 10,000 people. Two years ago, I did meet John Gray (the author of Men Are from Mars, Women are from Venus though. I was at a Dating conference and he was one of the most sought after speakers. Apart from being a very good looking guy, he grabbed the attention of everyone in the room. I don�t mean just talk, he draws you into what he has to say. The room was packed and you could see people leaning forward and taking in every sentence. A brilliant man, and well worth going to see if you EVER have the opportunity. What about Jack Canfield? For those who do not know him by name, he is the brilliant, successful author of the Chicken Soup for the Soul series. How many people wish they could have come up with that idea? Chicken soup, over the years given to us when we are sick and now he has a book for every topic. Chicken soup for the divorced, parenting, celebrating mothers and daughters, cooks….the list is humongous!!

I am sure I will have to buy another copy of the Secret as I have turned down the corners of so many pages because I want to be able to remember certain paragraphs and good advice that they gave. The one ironic part for me was being told to get the movie and to read the book and finding out that it is based on the Law of Attraction which has been referred to as the law of love. And here I am in the Love Business. But the book relates to everyone, and I am sure for those who take it very seriously will realize that what they preach in this book is not rocket science. Anyone can make changes in their lives if they want to. It is like an alcoholic admitting he is a drunk and getting help. You have to admit that you do not like how your life is at the moment and make a solid plan to change it. I will be writing more about my journey in future blog posts.

My focus now is to visualize my future, find more ways of helping others, continue to grow my business and help people find their soulmates
